Is the Sequence Wallet secure?
Your security is incredibly important to us. Sequence is a non-custodial wallet, meaning we cannot access any of its contents, nor can anyone else. Only you, the wallet owner, have access to the contents.
The only risk of being hacked exists with someone hacking your email or social account and using it to log into your Sequence Wallet, so be sure to keep access to the email or social account associated with your Sequence Wallet account secure. Enabling Two-factor Authentication (2FA) has proven to be an excellent way of improving security.
To further protect your assets, we’ve invested a great deal of time and money to ensure the security of your digital items and transactions. In fact, we've conducted multiple independent security audits, performed by ConsenSys Diligence, Quantstamp, and others, on our smart contracts to make sure our contracts are secure. We’ll announce additional measures for enhanced security in the future.
