How to set up a Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)?

Those familiar with other crypto wallets may think you need a seed phrase that you must store and memorize. Not the case with the Sequence Wallet!

We make keeping your wallet secure easy and intuitive without compromising on security—no seed phrase required! All you need is access to your email address or social account, so be sure to keep access to the email or social account associated with your Sequence Wallet secure.

We highly recommend enabling Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) for the email or social account that you use to log into your Sequence Wallet as an added security measure.

What is 2FA? It's a temporary code that needs to be input after your password if the platform you're trying to access sees an attempted login from an unrecognized device or browser.

We especially recommend setting up 2FA with an app, such as Google Authenticator. Having a correctly-set 2FA makes account theft almost impossible (someone would have to get hold of both your password and your phone); thus, this should be enabled for all your important platforms.
