How to add funds (digital currency) to my Sequence Wallet?

You can transfer your blockchain assets on Ethereum, Polygon and BNB Smart Chain (BSC) to your Sequence Wallet from another wallet or exchange. You can also purchase cryptocurrencies using your debit or credit card directly from your Sequence Wallet by clicking “Add Funds” and selecting a payment provider in the “Debit or Credit Card” section.

How can I connect my Sequence Wallet to applications like Uniswap or Opensea?

You can connect your Sequence Wallet to a decentralized application by selecting the ‘Connect with WalletConnect’ option.

A QR code will appear, which you need to scan with your Sequence Wallet by clicking on the Scan button; or you can also copy the WalletConnect code and paste it into the "Scan" window in your Sequence Wallet.

How to connect your Sequence Wallet anywhere in web3 On desktop:

On the app where you want to connect, find and click on 'connect wallet'
Choose 'WalletConnect'
Click on 'Copy to Clippoard'
Open your Sequence wallet and click on 'Scan'
Scroll near the bottom to see 'wallet connect paste code'

This should get you connected.

A message will appear asking permission to connect to that specific app, confirm and you'll be able to access it.

What tokens and assets does Sequence support?

The Sequence Wallet supports every EVM-compatible network's most popular token standards. These include tokens abiding by the ERC-20, ERC-721 and ERC-1155 standards.

ERC-20 is used for single fungible assets (that are meant to be fractioned). Examples of ERC-20 tokens include DAI, LINK and USDC.
ERC-721 tokens are used for non-fungible assets, e.g. Cryptokitties, Axies from Axie Infinity, and Ethereum Name Service (ENS).
ERC-1155 is meant to enable non-fungible and fungible assets in a single contract. Examples of ERC-1155 tokens include Skyweaver cards, Sandbox video game assets and Augur market prediction bets or shares.

In addition to tokens, Sequence Wallet supports native protocol assets for the currently supported networks like ETH for the Ethereum network, MATIC for the Polygon network, and BNB for the BNB Smart Chain.

Sequence Wallet lets users purchase USDC and other cryptocurrencies directly in the wallet via third-party providers. These payment providers are responsible for handling chargebacks and gathering user information required to meet regulatory requirements.

I've sent some funds to an exchange and they're missing

If you have sent a native token (ETH on Ethereum, MATIC on Polygon, or BNB on BNB Chain) to a centralized exchange, it's possible that you won't see it reflected in your account balance. Worry not!

The issue lies within the exchange platform, which may not be adequately tracking internal transactions occurring on the blockchain associated with your token transfer.

It's worth mentioning that transactions within the Sequence Wallets are termed "internal transactions" because all Sequence Wallets function as smart contracts. Internal transactions occur when a smart contract initiates a token transfer.

At times, centralized exchanges may use an inappropriate indexer, leading to a lack of recognition of internal transactions. In such cases, it is necessary to inform the exchange's support team of this issue and request corrective measures. It's important to note that resolving this matter may involve manual intervention by the exchange to adjust their indexing mechanisms for the proper acknowledgment of internal transactions.

What is MATIC and the Polygon network?

Polygon network is EVM-compatible and functions as a side chain to the Ethereum blockchain. A large amount of Ethereum Dapps are also accessible on Polygon.

The primary benefit of the Polygon network is its scalability, which allows blockchain interactions to be processed faster and for a much lower gas fee as compared to Ethereum network interactions. MATIC is the native cryptocurrency of the Polygon network.

The Sequence Wallet is compatible with both Ethereum, Polygon, BSC networks, Base and a lot more. This means assets on both chains can be transferred to your Sequence Wallet.

DO NOT send assets using networks that are currently not supported by Sequence. Doing so will result to your funds being inaccessible.
